Four Somatic Divisions of Man - Lesson 5
"When we speak of structure we are speaking of pattern, Arche (the Greek word for structure). Those who study Masonry could use the term Grand Architect. The function of any Light-energy consciousness is determined according to the structure."
"What one thinks, feels, and acts is motivated by forces organized into structures. The force with which one forms rapports is the force which is focused in the individualizing field. The force with which one registers frequencies is the same force which is structured into focalized centeres. Fundamentally speaking, the structure of an individual may be understood in terms of foci of forces, functional forces.
When we feel-know our way into this description we will come to the conclusion that no thought originates in the cranium. Our brain is similar to a receiving set. It picks up and registers frequencies which we unconsciously shape into the phenomenal world--i.e. music, sounds, etc. According to the state, or structure, the individualized field functions through the foci of forces.
Regarding Reincarnation:
"It is difficult for one to accept that the ensemble is destroyed with each cycle. Nothing is left except the results and consequences in terms of frequencies. It is analogous to a plant which infolds into the germ of a seed. The stem, leaves, blossoms, etc., all die, but the life germ continues. One cannot cut into the life germ and see stem, root, blossom, etc. But, in the process of growth all will be revealed again. The whole plant does not need to reincarnate, just the life germ.
Similarly, that with which the average individual is identified in consciousness never reincarnates. It disappears forever into the substance from which it is drawn. As soon as the Power-to-be-conscious is through with it, it is discarded. Then the Power is free to re-assemble and re-integrate new substance in order to learn new lessons."

"Ninety-eight percent of the troubles, worries, fears, etc. which seem to plague us are due to the lack of proper differentiation between levels of functioning. We simply do not understand each other structurally."
"When a person is a real devotee on the path of development, he is more desirous of purification than any other thing. To me that is the mark of a real devotee--to desire to be free from hindrances which prevent further advancement. To one who is a devotee the practice of differentiation brings terrific advantages in seeking higher levels of attainment."
"By understanding the demarcations between levels, one can eliminate semantic blockages. This one methodology is more effective than any other I know."
"You will see for yourself how valuable this teaching is when you begin to apply it for yourself. When these levels become so real to you that you can apply them to every facet of your lives, then the value will become clear."

But, we cannot lift ourselves up by the boot straps. We cannot do the job alone. We can invoke the latent powers, the potential energy, and once awakened, those powers and energies are like fire. They burn off all the chaff. Those powers are awakened in the 'higher' centers of our individualized selves. That fire resides in the heart and core of each of us. Once awakened, it throws all the elemental entities and forces to the periphery. The desire forces, thought forces, and feeling forces, which cannot be utilized in the higher structure of the Real Self, begin to panic and burn. They cannot tolerate the fire. They fear incineration, so they move out fast, stirring up as much turmoil as they can. That process is called purification. John the Baptist warns us that after he is finished the purificatory process begins."
"The sweetest hours of your life, your most quiet moments, the times of ineffable peace are so fine and delicate that we soon put them out of our minds as unimportant. For so long a time we have become accustomed to a more tempestuous and stormy frequency. We are conditioned to coarseness, so we overlook subtlety. But that refined frequency is Fire, and we have all felt it without giving it any value. That is the most dynamic force which an individual can experience. The power on that level is greater than on all other levels combined. We cannot adequately describe it. We only talk about it."

Have you ever met a new person in your life, struck up an acquaintance, and then discover that the new person fears you? That is one of the effects of the Fire. If that person is filled with destructive conditions the entities that are fed on that destruction will bolt and try to run away. The entities which feed off negative conditions in the consciousness will not stay near the Fire very long.
When the Fire is kindled you will become a storm center, stirring up entities in everyone you meet. If they only knew the value of the purificatory period they would stay and receive a marvelous healing. But, fear comes in and drives them away."
"All hell breaks loose when a Teacher comes into our lives. He does not willingly take on all that blame and fear. The Teacher is a storm center beyond our comprehension. The Teacher stands in the Fire and is quiet and still. The Teacher becomes the eye of the storm."

Concentration is the secret of secrets, but do not overlook another word in our simple rule: SUSTAINED CONCENTRATION. We are not talking about fifteen minutes now and again. We are talking about concentrating on a single focus week in and week out, month in and month out. You must hold to your center like a dog to a root.
If you need to demonstrate this rule in your own life, go ahead and focus on something you want to create. Work up great confidence in yourself; it is justified. Anything is possible within the range of your potentials. Nothing can stop you, not the doubts and laughter of your friends and loved ones, nothing. Even if everyone thinks you are crazy, you can do anything, if you focus your attention and hold it. Your forces will flow into configuration and your desire will take form. The only limit to what I am saying is your basic state and your ability to concentrate.
This is not a mental formulation. On the mental level this rule is worthless. But, if you apply it on the feel-know level, nothing can stop you. The amazing thing is that no knowledge of structure and function is necessary to accomplish your purposes. Our mental pride balks at that, but we do not need intellectual understanding to accomplish this. The mental understanding is helpful in preventing confusion, in restoring perspective, but follow the rule first, and then add the mental roadmap if needed.
When we try to describe the symbol Fire we are forced to face the limitation of the intellect. Practice and meditation are more valuable here than intellectual concepts. If I want to leave you with the idea of Fire, I must leave you with a practice. Be still. Sustain concentration on the subtlety of the Real Self. That is the way to understand the baptism by Fire."

"All energy is characterized by wave and frequency. The number of waves per unit of time is what we call frequency. The longer the wave, the fewer the number of waves. The shorter the wave, the higher the frequency, and the finer and more subtle the energy."
"We are breaking from our phenomenal way of thinking. We are training ourselves to think of substance as a fine frequency functioning on innumerable levels."
"Many pick up thoughts of others and simply broadcast what others feed them. That probably does not take much energy. But creative thinking involves a different process. It involves weighing what we hear, putting it in the scales, reaching for an original synthesis. That takes energy and quite a bit more of it than is necessary to register emotions.
Now, step up beyond feeling and beyond thinking. Suppose that it also takes energy to know something. We have left the energy which motivates the psychic nature and all of our feeling and thinking. We are concerned here with the energy required to know something. That energy would be more subtle and more powerful than any energy of the psyche."

"Here is the subtle trick, the key to the way out. Turn your attention and hold it on the force in the heart center or above...don't do it for five minutes and forget it. Keep steady attention in the quietness of the heart center, clear of mentalization."

"There is no knowledge involved in accumulated information. To know an 'event' is to enter sympathetic rapport and feel like it feels, be conscious as it is conscious. So even though we have no information about an event, we can know it. We can have knowledge, even though we may not be able to describe one thing about it. Real knowing, knowing without thinking, leads to knowledge. Make no mistake, there is a faculty whereby we know and don't think. In fact, any thinking would distort our ability to know. There is an awareness, an immediacy of knowledge, knowing without thinking, that is born out of love."
"Look in your heart center for that sunburst of a force that has only one compulsion, to give. It doesn't want a thing and we can't give it anything. It just wants to give. When that force is so strong that we want to give with no thought that we are going to get anything, God has arrived in our hearts, and according to the way I see it, love, or agape, is born."

"But man has used his generative force and cultivated it for his own sensuous gratification until he has introduced into the pure creative stream all sorts of lower-vibrating qualities, gunas, and entities. Consequently, it has become an obsessional thing because of the entities cultivated and identified with the generative force."
"Many students who study Freud, Jung and others, get the idea that they are repressed and thwarted. So they jump overboard in excesses of so-called expression and wind up more confused than when they started. This problem of repression and of substituted and compensatory outlets, due to the damming up of force, can never be solved by physical congress, physical sexual relations or so-called physical expression. I emphasize the word "never." Nine times out of ten the repression becomes worse through reversion to an unnatural form of relationship.
I am going to state this with a great deal of emphasis: there is no release from repression except as the psychic forces which are involved are released and these same psychic forces are brough up from a relatively 'lower' to a relatively 'higher' level. There are two methods for complete release, and neither involves damming up or compensatory form of expression. The first method is more difficult. It involves directing the force of will to drive out negative psychic forces. These negative forces are very strong and will not leave without a struggle . Great power is need to drive them out. If we choose the second method, we can direct the force of love into every aspect of the psyche until the negative forces leave. Negative forces cannot stand the frequency of love. If we can focus on the impersonal force of love, directing to each atom of our configuration, there are no negative forces that will stay in that atmosphere of love. But it must be maintained consistently and firmly with no respite."
"Marriage should not be contracted between two persons, one of whom has no vibratory sensibilities and the other who is psychically awakened."
"What determines whether one is negative or positive? The basic state of development in the individualizing process on the Mind level." (In the context of two people being friends or two people meeting each other, a circuit being created)

To neglect the understanding of the functions of the psyche is to overlook the needs of the state in which we are now conscious, overlook the steps, the gradations and progress through which we have to pass to attain the Mind level.
This factor is extremely important to remember, even though it may go against our myths, myths that only lead us deeper into obscuration instead of bringing us into the Light. We must take the journey to Light's Regions. So let us get a good road map, in order that we may take that journey with the least number of detours and blind alleys. Those who have not entered upon the work of functioning (and consciously so) in this process can take all of this work that we are giving here and formulate a good road map, a good intellectual road map which they can hold in reserve until they are ready for the journey. I do not mean until they think they are ready. I mean that when the time comes, choosing not to take journey becomes impossible. When we are motivated by a hunger and a love for Light and truth and perfection that is greater than all other urges, even the urge of the Genetrix, then we are ready."
"The time has not only arrived, but it is past due when we should understand the forces by which we are motivated. Instead of abstracting mentally, justifying, manufacturing alibis and excuses, etc. to keep the forces by which we are motivated covered up, we need to explore the psychic world. There arises a serious conflict, and the result of that conflict is a breakdown, a breakdown not of the motivating forces, but a breakdown of the mental structure and organization, a breakdown of the opposition."
"We have synthesized it all and contain the qualities, the gunas, in our consciousness with the multiplicity that becomes One just that One has become many differentiations. The process is not like a laminated "layer cake" wherein we occupy one plane, one level, and then destroy that one in order to move on to the next, or in order to get on a 'higher' plane or a 'higher' level."

Do we have to first backtrack to the point where we got off the path, just to get back on the path?

"As you hold an idea in consciousness, others will pick up the wave frequency of that idea. 'Space' presents no interference to the play of these wave-frequencies, even around the world. Somebody will pick up the frequency and respond to it. But if others pick up the frequency of the idea and respond to and participate in the configurational process or in awareness in the field, their response will be voluntary and according to the natural order, and not the result of any mental persuasion.
This respect for the integrity, the free moral agency, of each and every one must observed and we must lean way over backward in our observance of it. We cannot violate the integrity of the individual, not even for what we may consider another person's welfare. Perhaps his agonized sufferings, that we in our sympathy want to relieve, may be for his highest 'good', because he may not be able to learn his lessons in any other way. We must never, never cross that line."

Eventually the mental becomes so crystalized that we cannot perceive the real motivating influences, and we censor our own perceptions, covering them up with mentalized values and false-to-fact images. The accumulated qualities remain in the frequency world but are erased from our view by our own system of censorship."
This respect for the integrity, the free moral agency, of each and every one must observed and we must lean way over backward in our observance of it. We cannot violate the integrity of the individual, not even for what we may consider another person's welfare. Perhaps his agonized sufferings, that we in our sympathy want to relieve, may be for his highest 'good', because he may not be able to learn his lessons in any other way. We must never, never cross that line."
