Walter (and Lao) Russell

Walter Russell was quite possibly the greatest illuminate of the 20th century.  His accomplishments though widely unknown to the general public were arguably unmatched by anyone.  He achieved illumination for a period of 39 days where he had 360 degree sight.  He had essentially become One with the Mind of God.  The teaching produced from this illumination are invaluable.  I will post some quotes below that help me to understand life more than I already do.

"You do not realize that all of your body is not wholly alive all the time.  Part of you is always dead or dying, up to your maturity.  After that all of them are slowly dying  The millions of microbes which await more full life in you are harmless to you while you can charge your body sufficiently to insulate your life from their death.  About two pounds of your body dies every day, and the millions of dead bodies which are in that two pounds would kill your live body if you took them back into your metabolism again.  Have you ever though of that?  Great cities must have great sanitation departments to guard against just that.
Have you ever though that your every inbreath charges you with power to live, and every outbreath is death?  That means that you are perpetually living and dying thirty or forty times a minute.  More amazing still-if you will but give deep thought to it-is the fact that whatever lives in you is not a poison to you, but whatever of your own body which does not live will poison you.  You breathe in living oxygen which comes to you from the earth and its foilage.  It dies in you and you breathe out a deadly poison known as carbon dioxide.  That carbon dioxide is not poison to the ground, however.  It is food to the ground.  The earth breathes in that food and breathes it out as oxygen, which is poison to it but life to you."

"You must now know that all bodies in all the universe are the same in all respects, whether they are electrons, cells, rocks, metals, trees, men, planets or suns.  All o fthem live and die in the same manner.  All breathe in the charging breath of life and breathe out the discharging breath of death.  All of them compress heat and polarize when they breathe in, and expand, cool and depolarize when they breathe out."

He says that all bodies are made of -and by-electrical waves and every characteristic of the electric current is a life and death alternation.  There are dead and dying things in our body's, the earth's and throughout the universe.  He says that at age 40 our cells are their most virile.  The cells are true spheres and small, fast turning rings.  As you age to 60 they become more flat at their poles as the earth is doing, and their surfaces begin to wrinkle with rings like Jupiter, just as the old face wrinkles with many lines.  At 80 rings are actually thrown off an equator just as the rings of Saturn do.  He says that these rings are dead cells of Saturn's still living body.  A 90 year old man is still living but his cells are dying faster than his body can replace them. This can be related to the dying car battery.  It will charge some but it will show more discharge than charge.

So we know that Jupiter and Saturn are dying planets.  They still get their energy source from the pressures of the sun, but they are dying faster than they can live.

This is what he says about the earth:
"The earth is a dying cell thrown off from the sun.  It cannot maintain its spherical form.  It is flattening at the poles and cannot keep in balance with its system by remaining on the plan of the sun's equator.  It is in the very early stages of preparing to throw off more rings such as its first one which has would to become a moon.  The growth of deserts around its equator is the first early stage of that period.  Mars has grown very much older.  It still has water but oxygen dependent life is nearing its end upon it.  Deserts take up a large area of it and it is more oblate than the earth."

So you can see the fractal nature of the universe through the lives of the sun and the planets.  We know that the sun will eventually die.  Along the process of dying it ejected the planets out into space.  We can see that the planets to are in the process of dying and they too will eject spheres out into space.  So as I see it as death starts to occur in nature the cycle begins to slow down.  The spheres start to expand.  They start to discharge more energy I assume to maintain balance as they expand and the center of gravity changes.  Because they move slower they cannot keep up with their previous rate of vibration.  The death seed takes over and decay becomes inevitable.  From the decay living bodies are born.

So what does all this mean?  It means that death is a good thing, it's equally as important and life or birth.  But you have the power to remain vital and vibrant until nature naturally take effect.  You can speed up the death process or you can wait until you're around 40 and let nature takes it's course back to death in this world.  You were given this life for a purpose and it is your duty to keep your vehicle healthy.

Light and Dark

There is more to be learned in times of darkness than in times of light.  It is a thing of beauty to be able to bask in the light of the Spirit, but you would never attain to the Spirit if you had not journeyed through the darkness.  This material world is in my mind hell.  We have been trapped on this plane of existence and we have no choice but to accpet our circumstances.  There is no escape from it.  If you try and escape by taking your own life it has been said that then you will truly know what hell is.  So we must ask, is God evil?  Does he gain pleasure in watching us suffer?  This could not be farther from the truth.  This is in actuality a gift, the best gift he could have given to humanity.  He is giving us the chance to know ourselves.  He is giving us experiences to gain self consciousness.  He is using this world to know Himself better.  For in reality there is no "us" outside of Him.  His Spirit is working through our souls.

There is much pain involved in the process of evolution.  With this pain though we shall know love.  The pain of separation from our Father shall soon turn around and be transmuted into love.  We shall know ourselves as Him and know that we were never cut off, that He was here all along.  All is fair in this world.  What ye sow ye shall reap.  Nothing is random.  If you take heed of the pain you experience you shall in the future do right and experience God's love for you.  Even when you think that you are getting somewhere.  You start to feel exalted highs, you feel like you are coming closer to God, you will inevitably experience the dark nights where you feel that you are completely alone in this world.  This is the best test to see where your heart really is.  If you only believed in Him and His love when the sun shined, what would that mean?  You must BE good, not do good.

What good is it to trust when you know He is there?  You must know in darkness and light that He loves you deeply and wants nothing but the best for you.  He hopes that soon you will make it back to His house so that you can celebrate and commune together once again.  But you must forge the path back.  Use your intent and will and through the light and the dark make your way back.  If it was an easy journey it would mean nothing.  True accomplishments are achieved when there is doubt, when there are unknown factors involved.  You must rise above your current expectations of yourself, you must raise yourself to God's level.  He will not lower to your inferior level of consciousness.

If I turn my back on God in times of turmoil and uncertainty what does that say about my faith?  It says that I didn't believe that He was with me all along.  We must turn inside and follow the light within.  We have the choice to choose God over the devil.  The devil will provide you with short term gains but God's glory is infinite.  It might take longer to achieve but anything that must be worked and labored for will have value.  Become humble realize how small you are in the scheme of creation.  Your selfishness and arrogance will keep you on the outside.  Let your pride go and become nothing so that God's Spirit can fill you.  He wants to make you whole again but you must bring it to fruition through an act of Will.  Someone in fear cannot enter God's house.  Pure love must be attained to because that is what God is made of.  The devil wants you to remain in fear because this keeps your mind off of God.  There is nothing to fear.  Your destiny has been written in the stars and nothing can change this except YOU.

Seize the moment.  Become your destiny.  You are one with God and He one with you.  If you can hold your heart and mind with God in the times of darkness then you are on the path.  Follow your heart and the bridge will lead to Him.  Embrace the darkness, for it is the darkness that shall lead you home.

The Perennial Philosophy

A quote from Aldous Huxley's "The Perennial Philosophy:

"Every human being can thus become an Avatar by adoption, but not by his unaided efforts.  He must be shown the way, and he must be aided by divine grace.  That men and women may be thus instructed and helped, the Godhead assumes the form of an ordinary human being who has to earn deliverance, and enlightenment in the way that is prescribed by the divine Nature of Things - namely by charity, by a total dying to self, and a total one-pointed awareness.  Thus enlightened, the Avatar can reveal the way of enlightenment to otheres and help them actually to become what they already potentially are.  And of course the eternity which transforms us into Ourselves is not the experience of mere persistence after bodily death.  There will be no experience of timeless Reality then, unless there is the same or a similar knowledge within the world of time and matter.  By precept and by example, the Avatar teaches that this transforming knowledge is possible, that all sentient beings are called to it and that, sooner or later, in one way or another, all must finally come to it."

Web of Destiny

Every soul that has been birthed into this world has it’s own personal purpose. We all have a destiny or as the book The Alchemist calls it, a “personal legend.” We are weaving a personal story that ties into the universal cosmic order. In short, you matter and what you accomplish or don’t effects EVERYTHING in this universe. And every moment is a chance to get it right.

Before we came into our mother’s womb we along with higher spiritual beings chose the type of life we would live in the coming incarnation according to Max Heindel. There are no random occurrences. All chaos has an underlying structured order to it. You, as in your higher Self chose the experience and family which would most benefit your soul’s growth. Just before your spirit left the spiritual worlds to enter the womb we saw the panorama of the upcoming life just as you we the panorama of the previous life at the time of death. Only in the pre-birth panorama we only see the highlights.

There are certain major events that we are destined to experience in our life. Our lives will take a certain theme and all experiences will lead to these certain major events. However we also have the free will to resist that which has been laid before us to accomplish. We can go against our destiny and let outside forces control our fate. Destiny equates to control from within while fate is being controlled from without.  Fate deals in duality while destiny is absolute. When we follow our destiny, we come in line or resonance with our higher Self. When we vibrate to the tune of our higher Self we attain balance and Oneness with the universe. All is in order and all will be working for us.

We have the free will to go away from our personal purpose. We can choose to be out of balance with our Self and nature around us. However, Nature is inherently balanced. If it becomes unbalanced it will find a way to re-balance itself. What happens to the apple that is out of balance with it’s environment (does not get adequate sunlight, nutrients)? It becomes rotten and eventually perishes. So what happens to the human who is out of balance with his environment within and consequently without? Eventually symptoms arise to alert the person to the unbalance that is within. If the problem is not dealt with eventually more symptoms will arise as other areas are affected until the body cannot handle it anymore and ceases to be of use.

The difference between a human and a plant or animal is the human has the ability to choose. One does not see plants or animals causing their own destruction. The only time they become unbalanced is when the external environment ceases to provide them the necessities for their survival – ie. Sunlight, water, or say a natural disaster of some sort and that usually arises due to humans wreaking havoc on that very environment. Humans have the ability to be self destructive. While animals are guided from without and plants are stationary, humans have an indwelling spirit. People who lack personal responsibility will see this free choice as curse because they refuse to see the choice that was made that created their situations. Those who accept the fact that they have a divine hand in weaving their web of destiny will see the ability to choose as the ultimate gift from God.

We are all weaving our own stories which effect the whole story of everything.  Everything is within everything and thus everything affects everything else.  If we go against the purpose that we (as in our soul or higher Self) chose before we came into this world, the world will find away to eliminate you.  Some of the most physically healthy people have been eliminated "before their time."  There is an inherent purpose in everything.  The fig tree that does not bear fruit is a failure.  What is the purpose of a fig tree that cannot provide the very thing that it is here to produce?  It has no purpose except wasting energy and gaining nothing.  The human who does not realize his destiny and bear the fruits that were expected before the journey through matter was taken has failed and thus has wasted his life.

There is the objective viewpoint from where I stand.  With a fruit tree there is no in between, but it seems that there is also a subjective side to the human case.  Like I said, every moment is a chance to get it right.  One could have failed every single moment of his life up until a single moment, but decide to discover his Self and destiny and be considered the greatest success ever.  The past does not define us.  In fact, those failures are the very thing that will guide the person to the light. He can use the dark side of his past as a pivot point while he seeks the other side.  Eventually if he is on the right path he will have constructed the perfect formula for achieving balance.  A human can seemingly make strides toward improving his being but not actually fall in line with his higher Self.  If he gains in some areas but fails to make progress in others can he be deemed an outright failure?

Again, I think if you look at it from a dualistic perspective, he has not failed, he has gained knowledge that he previously lacked that will help him build for the future.  If looked at from the absolute viewpoint, he has failed.  He did not fall in line with his higher Self, he did not find his path of destiny, and he did not reclaim his essence in whole.  There were only sudden, temporal epiphanies where the truth was illuminated.  There is no way to reconcile these two opinions other than realizing that duality springs from the unity of the source.  On the absolute level, duality is an illusion in which the absolute is concealed within.  This is what creates the cycle.  Each side needs the other to exist.  It is the process of evolution, continual folding and re-folding, contraction and expansion.

All seeks to re-unite with it's source, to attain atonement.  This is the purpose within all living things.  Our destiny is to re-connect with our higher Self.  You see the expansion of your physical world, you must now know the contraction side to see the whole picture of the cycle.  In everything we do we seek to unite.  We are cut off from our Father and by any means we seek to fill this void.  Most will seek externally through drugs, art, a partner, but those who seek ultimate truth will go within to realize that God never left them, that all along they have been carrying His Spirit with them through the wilderness and one day they will re-unite as ONE.  This is the true destiny of man.  To realize that He is Everything and Everything is Him.
